She also won the San Diego Talent Search for solo artist in August, 1994, sponsored by KSON radio and Guitar Center. During most of 1994, Maggie sang in an all girl trio, Circle of Stone, performing in San Diego and Orange Counties. Though the tunes are aimed for a country format they would do well in Adult Contemporary or light rock formats as well. The album, called Things Are Looking Up, has received much acclaim since it's release. The album contains five up-beat country rock tunes and one country waltz, all written by Rick Perez. She has a great time on stage, exerting so much energy that the party never seems to stop! In 1993, Maggie began a relationship with Raven Flight Music to produce a six-song mini-album, released August, 1994. Maggie has a powerful voice that seems to come from her toes. She has incorporated teaching a few line dances and has been a big hit even in 'non- country' groups. Maggie's music appeals to a wide range of individuals as she performs a variety of styles, including old rock and roll, Motown, Top 40 country and country rock. Since 1990, Maggie has been living in San Diego where she has been entertaining as a solo at VFW halls, Elks lodges and private parties. Further performance experience was enhanced by a five week stay on Carnival Cruise Line's Jubilee, where she sang six nights a week from Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarte, Mexico and back. In 1989, Maggie received 'on-air' experience on FM radio by hosting a daily four-hour country music program. She toured with a singing group to Australia and New Zealand in 1972, then to Iran in 1974. Maggie Stiles has been singing all her life, in church, school and as a solo entertainer.
